Fuji Foundation for Protein Research Grant
Call for Applications
The 2022 Call for Applications for a Grant in 2023 has now ended. The next application will be announced in late 2023 for the period 2024.
The Fuji Foundation for Protein Research is a Japan-based NGO that encourages and supports research on plant proteins and related topics, thereby contributing to the development of science and the improvement of people’s lives around the world. To date, the Foundation has only funded researchers active at Japanese universities, but in 2023 it will expand this activity to include applications from researchers in Europe, and specifically the Netherlands for the first year. As the Foundation’s first step in internationalizing its activities was to appoint a representative office in the Netherlands, applications from researchers based at Dutch universities only will be accepted for the 2023 grant, the first year of the international grant program. If you have a PhD and are employed at a Dutch university and are active in research on one of the two following categories, you may send your application between 1 September 2022 and 31 October 2022 to the Foundation. The successful applicant will be notified in early 2023, and payment of the grant will be made in May 2023.

FAQ
Do you have a question that cannot be answered by looking at our website?
You will receive an automated reply to say that your application has been received once you upload your documents.
For the year 2023, we are only accepting applications from candidates employed at Dutch universities. Our plan is to expand in future years.
As the purpose of the grant is to support and disseminate scientific information, we have limited the application criteria to university research for the present time.
As the grants are intended to support university-based research, you will unfortunately no longer be eligible for the grant.
As long as the research fulfils the criteria and the research report can be written at the end, it is possible for the applicant to use the grant to fund research within their Group by a student.
